TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is one of the most common flat roof systems on commercial buildings today. It comes in wide rolls, the seams are welded together with hot air instead of glued, and the white surface reflects much of the sun's heat instead of soaking it up.

How we install it
- Remove the old roof down to a sound deck, or evaluate whether a recover is allowed and makes sense.
- Install insulation, including tapered insulation where water needs help reaching the drains.
- Attach the membrane to the Miami-Dade approved (NOA) or Florida Product Approval method for your building, including the extra fastening needed at corners and edges in high-wind zones.
- Weld and probe-check every seam.
- Flash curbs, AC stands, walls, drains and penetrations, then install metal edge and coping.

How long does a TPO roof last in Florida?
A well-installed TPO roof commonly lasts around 15 to 25 years, depending on membrane thickness, drainage, foot traffic and maintenance.
Can TPO go over my existing roof?
Sometimes. Code limits how many roofs can be stacked, and a recover only makes sense if the existing roof and insulation are dry. We check with core samples before recommending it.
Is TPO good for hurricanes?
It performs well when it's installed to an approved system with the correct fastening pattern for the building's height and wind zone. That's what we install.
