Big Al's Roofing, LLC is a Florida certified roofing contractor (license #CCC1330874) serving homeowners in Hollywood, in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. We handle roof replacement, repair and new installations for tile, shingle, metal and flat roofs.
Roofing in Hollywood
Hollywood has a lot of older housing, including mid-century homes with flat or low-slope roofs and tile homes from the 1970s and 80s. Older homes can hide surprises like damaged decking or roof framing that needs extra attention. We check the deck during tear-off and tell you before anything is covered up.
East of US-1 and near the beach, salt air corrodes metal quickly. We recommend aluminum or other corrosion-resistant metal for flashing, and aluminum panels for metal roofs close to the water.
Broward is HVHZ too
Broward County is part of Florida's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone along with Miami-Dade. Roofing products here must meet HVHZ requirements, and Miami-Dade NOAs are the standard product approvals we use. Permits go through the City of Hollywood.
